Sometimes life gets in the way for one reason or another and hair appointments can fall off the priority list. And that’s okay! I was so happy to see this lovely again and get her hair back on track and her feeling more like herself!

Forgot to get a before but we had some extra grown out roots and color faded throughout the ends. Topped with the fresh cut, we really brought everything back together!

Beige blonde! This new client and I have been working together to figure out exactly where she wants her hair color to be. We started with a more natural lived in look and that felt too dark. Now after a couple lightening sessions we have gotten her to her new goal. A soft dimensional beige blonde. This allows her to feel more blonde than dark but have an enough dimension that the color doesn’t read flat and root maintenance is a little easier.

It is totally okay to sit in my chair and not exactly know what you want to do with your hair. I am more than happy to work as a team with you as we navigate the endless possibilities of the hair world as you figure out what feels right to you!

Forgot the before but this head started out teal! When she came in she thought it would take a couple sessions to get pink and purple again but with the combination of placement and color theory the only lifting we had to do was fresh highlights in her new growth. The ends were not lifted, we just used the color wheel to shift the existing tone into a dimensional purple!

I’m back from vacation! I’ll be back in salon this week.

We flew to Miami, met some great people at the pre cruise meet up. Saw wild chickens and roosters everywhere (in Miami!), a couple iguanas. Ate some good food.

We loaded the boat and spent 4 days seeing some great music, meeting more great people and making friends! We also saw 24 shows and 13 different bands in 4 days. 🤘 😴

It was a blast and my energy level is definitely low. But I’ve spent today napping to recoup to come back and be ready for you! Can’t wait to share some tales of the END cruise!

✨Mini Dimensional - This is perfect if you’re looking to brighten up around your face.

✨Glaze & Style - Sometimes we feel like our color needs some love but we aren’t able to do the full process. A glaze is a great way to refresh your color, add shine, change tone and keep your color looking fresh until your next full service.

✨Bang/Neck Trim - This option is great to get hair out of your eyes and shape up bangs, clean up your neckline and around your ears on short styles, and get you feeling fresh until you need a full haircut.

✨I am also now offering a Scalp Reset Service. This is perfect if you are looking for some pampering but aren’t looking to make any changes to your hair. This Reset Service is a deep clean for the scalp involving a preshampoo scrub, cleanse and condition and an after cleanse tonic. This service comes with a blowout and is booked for an hour. This service can be added to a haircut at time of booking.

This lovely is always looking to experiment and try something new! From color and experimenting with her cut as it grows out, it’s always fun to create something new for them!

For this appointment we switched to a more natural rich caramel tone for the highlights and for the cut we tamed the poof that was happening on the sides around the ears.

Hey! Since it’s a new year and there’s been some changes around here I thought it would be a great idea to reintroduce myself for all the new Rocktopus Fam on here!

✨First off my name is Ocean and I am originally from the west coast. I have lived in NC for 13 years now. I started Rocktopus Salon 4.5 years ago with a vision to create a relaxed, elevated environment that allows everyone to come as they are.

✨I have been doing hair for almost 20 years. I enjoy how customizable our biggest accessory is. I love creating wash and wear styles that work well with your hair’s natural personality. Giving you more time back in your day and less time fighting with your hair.

✨I believe that your natural color is the one that makes you feel the most YOU. Not the color that grows out of your head. Unless that’s the one that you feel suits you most, of course! So have fun, experiment and find what side of the color wheel makes you feel the most comfortable in your skin!

✨Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my hubby and our four furbabies. Seeing friends. Traveling and going to concerts. I’m on a journey this year to have more balance in my life and to add some hobbies back in! Building a business takes a lot of mental capacity and I’m ready to round things out again! You’ll notice a guitar on the wall in salon. I’m self taught and have played since I was 15. Bringing one to work is a way to practice in down time and get back into music again!

For all of those that have been on this journey with me from the beginning or those of you that have just joined, thank you for your support. And I’m so excited to see where this new year will take all of us! 💚.

This lovely started by dipping her toe into the world of red with softer more natural tones. Every time taking it a little farther and bolder. Well it was finally time to dive in head first 😉.

The glow from the smile on her face was the best accessory to this big punch of color! I can’t wait to see what direction we take it next!

Happy holidays lovelies! I will be out of salon 12/22 through 1/6. I will have family in from out of town and will be trying to stay connected and in the moment of making memories. All messages will be responded to before I return to work 1/7.

I’m obsessed with this finished look! A year ago we started working away from a solid platinum blonde and after a soft transition through the months to embrace more of her natural, it was time to take a bigger dive into the world of darker dimension.

This overall look is lower maintenance while still feeling elevated and fresh.

Birthday freshen up for this lovely, and just in time for winter graduation!
